思念故鄉〉為布農族歌謠，由三段故事組成。第一段原曲為華語歌曲〈媽媽頌〉，又名 Tina tu Mata〈媽媽的眼睛〉，歌頌母親的偉大，為了孩子每日不辭辛勞地工作，並時時註意、掛心著他們。第二段 Macihala Buan〈月亮好美〉描述美麗的月亮高掛夜空，族人們呼朋引伴一同欣賞月亮的趣事。第三段歌曲 Eving Sanglav’an〈給我蔬菜湯〉則是布農族的故事。敘述一位母親在田裡工作時被蜈蚣咬傷、疼痛不已，孝順的女兒便快速跑到山腳下，向鄰居要了蔬菜湯，回來給母親喝以緩解不適。

編曲者張渝姍為南投縣民和國中濁岸合唱團指導老師，為了幫助部落的孩子及推廣原鄉音樂而捨棄原有的工作，帶領濁岸合唱團參與國內外比賽及表演，讓世界看見臺灣與布農族文化之美。布農族分布廣闊，其中卡社（Takibakha）為較小的分支，本曲為張渝姍於2018年為濁岸合唱團所作，歌詞使用卡群布農語。

Missing the Homeland is a Bunun ballad consisting of three stanzas. The first verse is the Chinese song “Ode to Mother”, also known as Tina tu Mata (Mother’s Eyes), which celebrates the greatness of a mother who works tirelessly for her children and is always mindful and concerned about them. The second verse, Macihala Buan (The Moon is Beautiful), describes the beautiful moon hanging high in the night sky, and the interesting story of the tribe members who gather together to enjoy the moon. The third song Eving Sanglav’an (Give me vegetable soup) is a Bunun story. The story is about a mother who was bitten by a centipede while working in the field and was in great pain.

The arranger, Yushan Zhang, is the instructor of the Nantou County Minhe Junior High School Turbid Choir. She gave up her job in order to help the tribal children and promote indigenous music, and led the Turbid Choir to participate in domestic and international competitions and performances, showing the world the beauty of Taiwan and Bunun culture. The Bunun tribe is widely distributed, with the Takibakha being a smaller branch. This song was composed by Yushan Zhang for the Choir in 2018, and the lyrics are in the Kakun Bunun language.
